Q: What is needed to open an account with TOSA?

A: First, the person requesting the account must be in business and must have an active Use and Sales Tax Permit with the State of Texas.  We do ask for a copy of the business’s Use and Sales Tax Permit.  A Texas Sales and Use Tax Resale Certificate that needs to be filled out and signed by the owner for our records.  The State of Texas has asked us to check the NAICS code that is listed on the Permit.  The State states that the code must be related to our industry in order for us to accept the permit for wholesale buying.  Please double check the NAICS code before bringing it in and make sure it is related to the t-shirt industry.  We do check the NAICS codes and with the State to make sure the Permit is active as requested by the State. We cannot accept Permits that have tire sales, or locksmiths, etc., to their name.  The code listed on the Permit should read General Merchandising, Screen Printing, Graphic Artististry, Sign and Vinyl, etc., something related to the items we sell.

If you do not have a Use and Sales Tax Permit, you first must register a dba (doing business as) with the City of San Antonio.  Once this is completed, then you can obtain a Use and Sales Tax Permit from the State.  The actual Permit will be mailed to you within 2 weeks from the time of application.  Once the permit is received, you can email the Permit to tosabam@tosabam.com or bring it in person.

Q: What are TOSA’s hours?

A: Normal operating hours are M-F 9:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Our holiday hours will be posted on the door, on our website and on Google. We try to give our customers plenty of notice so they can plan accordingly. We close on the following holidays: 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.  Any adjusted hours and days will be posted on the door, on our website, and on google.  Since this is a family-owned business, there is a possibility that we will be closed without notice.

Q: Is there a minimum purchase?

A: No…there is no minimum purchase. However, the more you order the cheaper the price. We do have tier pricing in place for our wholesalers/businesses who have accounts with us.

Q: What is TOSA’s return policy?

A: Shirts purchased from TOSA with a copy of a TOSA receipt can be returned within a 7 day period. We will not exchange shirts for items that were purchased over 7 days from the date of the receipt. The garments being returned must be in the condition they were received in order to be exchanged. They cannot be worn, printed on, or have any odor such as smoke. We will not exchange shirts that were not purchased from TOSA. We do not exchange or allow returns for chemicals, supplies, such as ink, vinyl, thermoflex, banner material, or any special orders. A $10.00 restocking fee will be assessed for invoice totals less than $50.00 no matter what merchandise is returned.  Any invoice amount over $50.00 will be charged a 10% restocking fee no matter what merchandise is returned.  All balances/credit differences will be applied to the account and not refunded.

We will take back, at no charge, any damaged shirts, with holes in the shirt, parts of the shirt that is not stitched correctly.  Shirts mus be return to us along with the receipt for exchange.

Q: How long will TOSA hold my merchandise after I place an order?

A:TOSA will hold your order for 3 business days.  If the order is not picked up within 3 business days of placing the order, the order will be returned to inventory and a restocking  fee will be assessed on the next order placed.

 Q: Is there a minimum purchase to use a credit card?

A: Yes…there is a minimum purchase of $50.00 to use a credit/debit card. The name on the card must match the owner’s name on the card or the name of the business.

Q: Can I pay with a credit card over the phone?

A: Yes…we do accept credit cards over the phone. It must meet the minimum purchase of $50.00 to use it. And there is a 3% upcharge on top of the total to run the credit card manually.

Q: Does TOSA accept checks?

A: No…we no longer accept checks.  We accept cash and credit cards.

 

Q: Can we have more than one person ordering under our account?

A: We do allow each company to have 2 authorized users on the account.  With the owner’s permission, these 2 users may call in and order.  However, payment for the order must be with the owner’s credit card or a business credit card that has the company on it.  We do not accept personal cards from authorized users.

Q: Can we order items that are not available in the TOSA catalog?

A: Yes…we do special orders. We have other catalogs, other than the TOSA catalog, for items that can be special ordered for purchase. For special ordered items, items not in the TOSA catalog, we do ask for payment up front.

Q: Do you sell to the public?

A: No…unfortunately, we do not.  We only sell to those businesses who have an active/current Use and Sales Tax Permit with the State, related to the industry, and report sales tax to the State.

We also sell to churches and schools.  Churches must provide a 501C, non profit form.  Schools can provide us with the with a signed Sales Tax Form from the District.  Schools must provide a letter stating that a particular teacher/or school member can purchase for the school as a representative.

Both will be exempt from sales tax, but does not qualify them for wholesale pricing.
